Class Levels

We offer a variety of classes for dancers of all experience and skill levels across all age groups.

Recreational Level:

These youth level classes are ideal for beginners looking for an opportunity to experience dance styles at the foundational level. Recreational classes are taught at a comfortable pace and focus on fundamental movements of each style, as well as choreography that is well-suited to beginning dancers.

Offered Fall 2026

Intermediate Level:

These youth level classes provide a more advanced option for dancers, typically with 1-3 years of experience, that are looking to develop their technical and dynamic dance skills. These classes focus on advanced movement and technique, as well as more sophisticated choreography that is well-suited to experienced dancers. These classes are open to all youth dancers at this level and are required for Junior Company dancers.

Advanced Level:

These youth level classes provide rigorous, advanced training for experienced dancers, typically with more than 4 years of experience, that are looking to develop highly refined technical and dynamic dance skills. These classes are taught at a brisk pace and focus on advanced movement and technique, as well as sophisticated choreography that is well-suited to experienced dancers. These classes are open to all dancers at this level and are required for Senior Company dancers.

Adult Classes:

These classes are available for Adult dancers that are looking for a fun and engaging dance experience on a drop-in basis. These classes are taught at the intermediate to advanced level and are accessible and available to adult dancers who are seeking to have fun while moving and learning exciting choreography (non-progressive from week to week). All adult classes are offered on a drop-in basis. Sign up online or at the front desk. Punch cards available.

Class Descriptions

Acro

blends elements of dance with acrobatics, focusing on strength, flexibility, balance, and tumbling skills. This class is designed to help dancers incorporate controlled acrobatic movements into their choreography with seamless transitions.

Contemporary

dance classes focus on expressive movement, blending elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance. These classes emphasize fluidity, improvisation, and emotional storytelling through movement.

Jazz

dance classes are energetic and expressive, blending elements of other styles, with an emphasis on isolated movements and musicality. These classes emphasize dynamic movements, sharp isolations, and rhythmic precision.

Hip-hop

dance classes focus on rhythm, musicality, footwork, and movement. Hip-hop classes encourage dancers to interpret beats and develop their own personal style. Known for expressive, grounded movements and fast-paced choreography, Hip-hop classes are a fun, high-energy way to develop dance skill and technique, as well as strength and stamina.

Tap

dance classes focus on rhythm, agility, and intricate footwork, using metal-tipped tap shoes to create percussive sounds. These classes blend movement with sound, enabling dancers to develop their performance skills and musicality.

Technique

classes focus on building a strong foundation in movement, alignment, and control. These classes emphasize precision, strength, and flexibility, posture, and footwork helping dancers refine and develop their skills across various styles.

Lyrical

dance classes blend elements of ballet and jazz, focusing on expressive movement and storytelling through dance. Movements are soft, flowing, and connected. These classes emphasize fluidity, musicality, and emotional connection to the music.

Musical Theater

dance classes focus on performance-driven movement, blending jazz, tap, ballet, and theatrical storytelling. These classes emphasize musicality, stage presence, and expressive choreography inspired by Broadway musicals.

Ballet

classes focus on developing strength, flexibility, and grace through structured movement techniques and the practice of foundational positions and movements to build balance and control. Ballet training follows a progressive structure, with beginner levels emphasizing posture, alignment, and basic steps, while advanced levels introduce complex footwork, leaps, and fluid sequences of movement.

Adult Fem Pop

Sleepover energy and just enough challenge to keep things exciting. Expect intermediate-level feminine movement, fun combos, good music, and a space to feel confident and a little sassy. Join us, and have the best hour of your week.

Adult Heels

A confidence‑building dance class that blends technique, musicality, and performance while dancing in heeled shoes. Dancers work on posture, balance, intentional movement, and expressive choreography, with heels always optional and all levels welcome.

A modern ballet class that blends classical technique with a more rooted, earthy movement quality. Dancers explore balance, weight shifts, and fluid transitions while maintaining ballet fundamentals.

Latin Dance

A high‑energy class inspired by Latin styles like salsa, bachata, cha‑cha, and merengue—taught without partner work. Dancers build rhythm, footwork precision, and expressive style through dynamic combinations that celebrate Latin music and movement. Fun, energetic, and accessible to all levels.
